Completion is the day the purchase officially finishes. The money is transferred, ownership changes and you can usually collect the keys to your new home.
Example
Your solicitor sends the money to the seller and you collect your keys later that day.
Why it matters
It's the day you officially become the property's owner.
Completion often takes place a few days after contracts are exchanged.
When do I get the keys?
Usually on completion day once the purchase has finished.
